renegade craft fair

I've just submitted my application to the Austin Renegade Craft Fair! I went to one in San Francisco two summers ago and was super impressed, lots of great stuff and cool crafty people. If I go I'll be bringing my pillows and a slew of accessories and cards. Can't wait to get going making stuff!

cards

A few of my new cards, envelopes included!

so fun!

This summer I had the pleasure of making the above wedding banner for Allison and Berrys wedding, last month they had a splendid write up in FDlux magazine about their gorgeous Maine wedding and my banner made it into one of the photos. So happy with how it turned out and even happier that they loved it!

buttom time.

i'm posting this picture to pump me up for a button making session this weekend, all of these have sold, but don't think I cant top em!

headbands!

I was inspired by marc jacobs and sonia rykiel spring/summer 07 collections a few years back to start making headbands. Above are a few of my favorites so far...

my #1 school supply.

this Thermos never ceases to amaze me. keeps my water cold on these hot texas days.

decomposition notbook.

the new composition notebook. fake wood. decomposable. luv it.

back to school dress.

i was inspired by my newly fixed sewing machine, vintage fabric passed down from my aunt and of course the first day of school to make a new dress. when I was a kid picking out the outfit for the first day of school was a big deal. I may not be a kid anymore but heck no matter the age every girl should have a new outfit for the first day.

bellingham buttons

a new batch has been made. find them at the Paperdoll in bellingham wa! I hope to make some austin ones in the next few weeks.

new earrings.

the best seller, with the kittens.

yes, the kittens made it to austin. and no my boyfriend won't let me put them up. ah, at least they are here.

lord knows i try.

amazing. the best 39 cent find to date.

my art supplies arrive in austin.

so nice to be reunited with all of my paper and pens and random bits stuff I have been holding onto for years. Upon receiving my things I immediately began making a sign, the result of which can be seen in the photo. It is a Teddy Roosevelt quote that reads " Do what you can, with what you have, where you are". I found it fitting.

Wedding Banner

I had the honor of making this banner for a couples wedding. It turned out great, the glitter was a nightmare tho! Whoever said "glitter is the herpes of craft supplies" was right.
